Amid the shaded forest, a fallen tree allows a shaft of sunlight to pierce the canopy, where it strikes, a huge honeysuckle takes advantage of the light. I could not help but take this shot as the smell of the honey suckle stopped me in my tracks. Most of the morning I had had my head filled with the smell of fresh pine, but boom here in this glade the honeysuckle overpowered it and the play of light on the yellow flowers amongst the dark evergreen leaves all illuminated by a shaft of brilliant sunlight was almost unbelieveable.
