A pile of apples waiting to be boxed beside the road - the people here are so friendly, every few miles I was stopped and given a gift of apples by some kind soul but after riding for an hour each day I had to explain I could not accept, by opening my bulging apple filled panniers to show that I already had enough apples to see me to Australia!!
