Help Me

WHY -

WHO -

I have worked for many charities over the past few years; picking just one was difficult, as there are so many deserving causes. However I have been lucky enough over the last 3 winters to work with the Uphill Ski Club.

The Uphill Ski Club is a charity that teaches disabled people to ski and apart from the sheer pleasure of enjoying such a challenging and thrilling sport, it has also been shown to improve co-ordination, self-confidence, social and decision making skills.

Click here to see how they have taught people of all ages and any type of disability to ski. Skiers include people with spinal injuries, amputations, visual impairments, physical and learning disabilities.

Uphill's philosopy, much like my own, focuses on enabling individuals to realise their potential. They believe that any person with some degree of mobility can ski, given the right help.

WHAT YOU GET -

The money that I raise will be used to set up a charitable trust to sponsor disabled skiers, their helpers and instructors.

Skiers who receive support will be asked to write a holiday diary and compile a photo album, which will be forwarded to those who have helped to support them.

HOW -

Please, please contact me if you have made a donation by cash or cheque, so that I can thank you for helping me, and send you the diaries and photos of the skiers who have received sponsorship from the fund to show you the difference you have made to someone's life.
